iOS/iPadOS 13.6.1 and macOS Supplemental Update

macOS 10.15.6 Supplemental Update

On macOS the use of virtualisation software is again possible.

Apple has released two updates for the Mac and iDevices operating system.

The macOS Supplemental Update fixes two major bugs: first, there was Catalina on macOS with virtualization software like VMWare or Parallels Desktop. Systems running in it crashed from time to time. We have already reported about this here. Also, the 2020 5K iMac might show wrong colors after standby.

With iOS 13.6.1 Apple fixed the green tint of the display on some devices. This seems to have to do with the heat generation of the devices. Additionally, some iOS devices had problems with the encounter detection function (Corona App). Thirdly, a bug was fixed where the system did not display deleted files as free space anymore.

The updates can be initiated as usual under macOS System Settings > Software Update or iOS Settings > General > Software Update.
