Apple has introduced another offer for the purchase of an iPhone Xr in the USA: monthly payment.
Together with the trade-in program for older iPhones, the monthly installment can be reduced to 18.99 dollars for an iPhone 8 (which is only 6.76 over a cash payment for a 24-month term). The rates for an iPhone 6 are 24.99 dollars, the rates for the other iPhone variants are in between – an iPhone 8 Plus cannot be exchanged.
But Apple also offers this option for the more expensive iPhone Xs. There, the installments for an iPhone 8 are 29.99 dollars (and thus only 20.76 dollars above a cash payment). The rates for exchanging an iPhone 6 are 35.99 dollars, the other models again lead to adjusted rates.
With very old iPhones this offer can be worthwhile. With newer iPhones, direct sales or simply continued use within the family and circle of friends are probably cheaper and more resource-efficient.
