Do you still have a Mac running on Mac OS X 10.10 Yosemite? Then a recent iTunes update can break Safari.

Maybe you have run expensive software like Avid and have stopped at OS X 10.10 due to high update prices. No matter why, a current iTunes update to 12.8.1 makes sure that Safari just won’t start anymore.

As a workaround, simply use another browser or delete the file MobileDevice.framework in the folder /System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/. Probably you can just sit out the error and wait for an update of the update.
