Recently Apple introduced the option to have the Vega 20 graphics in your MacBook Pro 15: here are the benchmarks.
As it looks, the surcharge for the Radeon Pro Vega 20 is worth it. The performance is clearly above that of the standard Radeon Pro 560X.
In numbers, this means that the Radeon Pro 560X lies between 50,000 and 60,000 points in the Geekbench Open CL Test. With the new Radeon Pro Vega 20 you can reach over 70.000 points. For all friends of fast computing power, this means: if you do many tasks that require GPU performance, you should pay the surcharge for the better graphics. However, this is only available in the top model of the 15″ MacBook, so check it out beforehand.
With over 70,000 points, the portable MacBook Pro reaches the level of the Mac Pro: With D500 or D700 graphics in the Open CL benchmark it reaches between 70,000 and 90,000 points. Now the time seems to have come that progress has finally caught up with it.
