The coming iPhone generation could be a little cheaper than the current iPhone X.
As TrendForce suspects Apple will lower prices for the next generation, as iPhone X sales were not as strong as expected due to the high price.
The upcoming lineup of the iPhone will consist of three devices. Two get the well-known OLED display, one with 5.8″ and one with 6.5″ diagonal. The small version could cost between 899 and 949 US dollars, the large model between 999 US dollars.
The entry-level version will be an iPhone with a normal LCD display with a 6.1″ diagonal. The price is estimated at 699 to 749 US dollars. The price reduction is also due to strong competition in the Chinese market.
The two larger iPhones will also have dual SIM support, meaning that two SIM cards can be used simultaneously. However, this function may only exist for certain markets. For both OLED iPhones there are memory sizes available up to 512 GB.
Apple will extend the full display design with a small notch for camera and speakers on the front to more models. It remains to be seen whether older models will remain on sale, as has been the case up to now, or whether all iPhones will be updated to a bezel less design with the additional introduction of an iPhone SE successor.
