Make printer available over the network on DrayTek Vigor 2760
You want to make your USB printer available for all network computers? Nothing easier than that! Just connect it to the USB port on a DrayTek Vigor 2760.
The first step is extremely simple: log into the web interface of the DrayTek Router and turn on the Bonjour Service and the LPR Printer Server in Applications > Bonjour.
Then connect the printer to one of the USB ports on the back of the DrayTek (it only supports one printer, even if two USB are available), and turn on the power of the printer. It then should turn up in the user interface of the DrayTek:
You do not need to log in extra for that. It's best to go to System Preferences on your Mac. Select "Printer & Scanner" and click on the plus sign in the lower left corner.
There should be an entry called "VigorRouter". You choose that one. Below you take the option "select software" and find out the right one for your printer.
Done! The printer is ready now on your Vigor router and will also be listed on your Mac in the system settings.
If you did not want to activate the Bonjourserver for some reason, you can also simply add the printer in the system settings > Printer and Scanner> Plus sign > IP with the IP address of the router, LPD as protocol and also the corresponding driver, which brings the printer also into the network.
