If you own a modern MacBook, you probably have at least one adapter with you, maybe several, or even a hub. Wouldn’t it be nice if you could save at least one extra device?
If you always take a powerbank with you, this is now possible. Baseus simply combined a USB-C charger with a 10.000 mAh (37 Wh) battery. In addition, the powerbank also offers a normal USB-A output for charging the iPhone for example. Or you are more modern on the road and take the model with two USB-C outputs. And that actually makes life a little bit more tidy.
The charger offers in Powerbank mode 5V/3A, 9V/2A and 12V/1.5A (that are 18 watts) output. If you use both outputs at the same time, a total of 3 amps are possible, which are distributed to both devices (it’s not clear if two devices get different voltages or just charge both with 5 volts).
When the device is connected to the power outlet, the internal battery is charging automatically and the following power is available at the outputs:
When using a USB output: 5V/3A, 9V/3A, 12V/3A, 15V/3A, 20V/2.25A. So you can see there are 45 watts of output power available. That’s more than enough for MacBook Air and even in normal operation completely sufficient for the 13″ MacBook Pro. Even the 16″ model should be able to handle it, provided you only surf with it. If you’re editing video and using the device under full load, the 45 watts are of course not enough in this case.
If you use both outputs at the same time, the total power is of course distributed to both outputs, for example 30 and 15 watts. In battery mode the figures are lower, as mentioned above. Baseus also states the usable net battery capacity: 5800 mAh is supposed to be, which is about two full battery charges for an iPhone 11.
So if you are looking for a well balanced charger that has enough power for the 13″ MacBook Pro, two USB ports and a built-in battery, Baseus is worth a look. We have linked the version with two USB-C ports as well as the one with one USB-C and one USB-A.
