Parallels releases the next version of Parallels Desktop virtualization software. It is version 15.
In addition to the usual speed improvements – MS Office should start up to 80 percent faster – some adjustments have been made under the hood. The software is already prepared for the upcoming macOS Catalina and Parallels Desktop also offers metal support for graphics or sidecar support, so you can use an iPad as an additional monitor.
Also very handy: Drag and Drop Support, which makes it easy to move files back and forth between a virtualized Windows and macOS.
You have to be careful with the payment model: while the simple version for a one-time payment of almost $80 is available, the Pro or Business Editions are only available in the annual subscription for almost $100. As alternative like always we do mention VMWare.
