The virtualization software VMWare Fusion is now available in version 11 and lots of improvements.
The most obvious innovation is the support of macOS Mojave, which is available since a few days. So it’s a fast adaptation to the new operating system.
VMWare has also worked on the performance: DirectX 10.1 and OpenGL 3.3 are available for Windows and Linux. The system is based on Apple’s Metal Engine, so a Mac from 2012 or later is required. In addition, Fusion now uses all the cores of a Mac and is even faster.
Switching between virtual machines and open windows has also been made clearer and more convenient. Cool: You can start Windows programs directly from the Dock – as if it were a native macOS program.
The price for the program is about 90 dollars. Alternatives to Fusion are Parallels of VirtualBox.
