MacBook Pros Updated, 15″ Now With 8-Core Processor

Apple has updated some MacBook Pro models. The 15″ now optionally comes with an 8-core processor.

Only the Touch Bar models were updated, the base model with function keys went blank. The two large 15″ models now come with a 9th generation 6-core processor instead of Apple. A Radoen Pro 555X or 560X and 16 GB RAM are also on board. A 2.4 GHz 8-core i9 is available as an option, which provides up to 5.0 GHz Turbo Boost.

The 13″ TB model has a new 8th generation i5 with 2.4 GHz clock rate. It also contains the Intel Iris Plus graphics 655 and 8 GB RAM.

New, finally good keyboard?

In addition, Apple seems to have worked on the keyboard again. Since the series of problems doesn’t seem to come to an end, Apple has again made a change . After the second generation introduced a bit more Hub and the third one a silicone intermediate layer, Apple has now changed the material a bit. The mechanical butterfly mechanism remains the same. The new material should be a bit more robust so that the keyboards don’t fail so often.
