Apple offers a battery replacement program for 13″ MacBook Pros without Touch Bar that have been built between October 2016 and October 2017.
Machines produced in this timespan can contain batteries that could expand and fail. Apple says, this is not a safety issue. Nonetheless, all affected batteries will be replaced without any cost for a new one.
If you own a Macbook Pro without Touch Bar produced between October 2016 and October 2017, you can check on Apple’s official website if your machine is affected. You just have to type in your serial number. You can find it by clicking on the apple > About this Mac. If your device has an affected battery, you can just make an appointment with Apple and have it fixed.
