Apple has released firmware for the Studio Display that is supposed to improve the picture quality.
When the Studio Display was introduced, many reviewers were a bit surprised by the poor webcam and Apple promised improvement with an update for the camera, which is based on the front module of the iPhone 11.
The new firmware does indeed offer a slightly sharper image, but it is still not on the level of a product that has just been launched and will be sold like this for many years. But at least we can say that the quality has caught up with existing solutions. So if you’re looking for a Retina display with an integrated camera, the Studio Display is a good deal.
