iOS 15.3.1 and macOS 12.2.1 bring security fixes

Monterey Update macOS

Install the newest updates quickly.

There are a few small but all the more important updates for Apple devices. For iOS and iPadOS, the version number increases to 15.3.1, for macOS to 12.2.1. There is an update for the Apple Watch as well as for Safari on macOS Catalina and Big Sur. Timely installation is strongly recommended.

Apple is closing a security hole that allows arbitrary code to be executed on your iPhone or other device via a website. This is really serious and should move you to a quick installation.

For anyone still on iOS 14, at first it seemed like Apple would still maintain this version, but they don’t anymore. So the security gaps accumulate under iOS 14 and you should take the step to iOS 15.

Users of devices that are still on the go with an iPhone 6 or older are currently on version iOS 12.5.5. It is not known whether there will also be an update for the serious vulnerability. There is no update for iOS 12 yet.
