With the introduction of the new iPhones, some older ones were removed from the lineup. In the future, Apple’s smallest model, the iPhone SE, will also be discontinued.
The small model, which still appeared in the design of the iPhone 5, was loved by many because of its compact dimensions. It was also fast, as it had all the technical data of the iPhone 6S except for 3D Touch. But with the introduction of iPhone Xs and Xr Apple stops selling it. The iPhone 6s will also no longer be available, as will the iPhone X. With the omission of 6s and SE, there will be no more iPhone to buy that has a classic 3.5mm jack connector.
In addition to the small dimensions of the SE, the low weight of 113g was also a selling point for many. It was so light that it almost didn’t stand out in the pocket. The iPhone that is now the lightest in the lineup is the iPhone 7 with 138g. Since you also get a larger display, this is justifiable. The new iPhones weigh a bit more: Xs 177g, Xr 194g and Xs Max 208g. So if a light iPhone is important to you, the only thing left in the current range is the iPhone 7. On the other hand, weight is always a bit subjective, and the rimless models pack their weight pretty well.
