A Hackintosh consists of normal PC hardware on which macOS is installed. Of course, Apple also uses standard components, but the company does not allow macOS to be installed on computers that are not Macs. If you want to do so, you have to use a bootloader that combines the free PC hardware and Apple’s macOS. These private projects are not really legal, because as mentioned before macOS is used on foreign hardware, but Apple has always looked away. One such project is for example the OpenCore Bootloader.
Now a manufacturer tries to sell computers with macOS already installed – under the name OpenCore Computer. However, the OpenCore Bootloader Team notes that the company is in no way affiliated with the project. They probably want to give the impression of a collaboration when choosing a name – but this is not the case.
In general, the project is likely to have a short life: Apple should put an end to it quickly. Furthermore, it is questionable whether someone wants to buy a computer for several thousand Euros from a company that doesn’t even provide an imprint. And you have to pay per Bitcoin. This might be a way to protect yourself from legal prosecution. We can therefore only advise you against entrusting your money to this company.
