You can hide the dock, you know that. But you can also do the same with the menu bar in macOS.
Many people know that the dock can disappear when not in use, the corresponding option can be found in System Preferences > Dock. That this function is better known should be clear, as the dock has its own entry in the system settings.
The same trick can also be used with the menu bar: this can also be hidden as long as the mouse pointer is not at the top of the screen. The corresponding setting is available in System Settings > General. The third item gives you the power to make the menu bar disappear if you want. And while you’re there: the option above makes the dock and menu bar dark grey. A nice change for a change.
