Apple has updated the MacBook Pro series: There’s up to 32GB of memory and a T2 chip like in the iMac Pro.
More memory is welcome for many people who work with data-hungry applications or always have so many tabs and applications open that more is simply always better.
More cores, more memory
As a fundamental innovation, Apple introduced the T2 chip for the MacBook Pro. It is responsible for security functions in the system, just like in iMac Pro. It also contains the SSD controller and monitors data encryption. It is now also possible to use the sentence “Hey Siri” on your Mac.
Of course, Apple has also worked on the performance: the eighth generation of Intel processors comes with six or even eight cores. The Retina Display features True Tone technology.
Apple has also revised the keyboard again. The third version of the Butterfly keyboard should now be much more stable and reliable. Battery capacity has also increased significantly, but not battery life. With the larger power memory, Apple is more likely to have compensated for the increased consumption of the more powerful processors.
