Apple continues to reduce the tangle of cables, but one remains: the charging cable, which always spreads somehow on the desk. A very simple trick provides for something more order.
This works if you don’t use Apple’s original charging cable, but another multiport charger and a thick USB-C 3.0 charging cable. Last is important, because only the USB-C cables, which are also suitable for 3.0, have a quite thick jacket for shielding. And that’s exactly what we want: this makes the cable a little stiffer overall and ensures that the cable retains its rolled basic shape quite well.
So instead of taking the cable out of the package and unrolling it, just leave it in the state and connect the bottom plug to the charger and the top plug to the MacBook.
Now push your MacBook back and forth it behaves like a spiral and when pulled out is long enough and pushed together tidy. And all this simply by not doing anything when you take the new cable out of the package. 😉
