EVE is one of the first manufacturers to keep the promise of teaching existing devices a new protocol standard. In a first test phase you can register here and update your devices to Matter. Current versions of:
- Eve Door & Window
- Eve Energy
- EveMotion
Of course, you also need a Thread Border Router, in the Apple universe a HomePod mini or an Apple TV. There is also an iPhone with iOS 16.
It should be noted that you turn a pure HomeKit device into a Matter device, which cannot then be converted back into a HomeKit device. This is important for anyone who uses an iPad as a HomeKit hub, for example – this cannot do anything with Matter devices.
