ChargerLab shows Apple 35W Dual USB-C power cord from inside

Apple 35 Watt Power Supply

The new dual USB-C power supply disassembled.

The new MacBook Air with M2 chip comes with a new Apple power supply if you buy the better variant with the 512 GB SSD. As a special extra, you also get a better power supply variant, namely one with 35 watts and two USB-C outputs.

ChargerLab has taken the model apart and shows us the construction from the inside: it is almost symmetrical:

This is simply due to technical necessity. The maximum power can either be delivered by one device or the power supply delivers 17.5 watts twice, for example, when a MacBook and an iPad are connected. If an Apple Watch and a large device are connected, 7.5 watts go to the Apple Watch, and the rest of the power goes to the other device.

It is also nice that the power supply has become even smaller compared to the variant with 30 watts and only one port. A small and fine power supply that should be a good device for everyday use.
