The user interface is kept very simple, but that can also be a strong advantage for many. The remote is made of plastic and can sometimes fall off and there are useful buttons, but not too many.
So even if you’re just looking for a way to upgrade AirPlay 2 for your high tech TV, the current prices are a great deal. If you want to do the whole thing with a small Apple TV HD, which is admittedly a bit more performant, you’ll have to spend around $150. Or you can buy a Roku Stick – and still have enough budget left over to give six other people a Roku each for Christmas.
