Anker’s new 12-in-1 dock offers three graphics ports.

Anker has introduced a new dock for Thunderbolt 4 connections with some graphics outputs.

Two HDMI and one USB-C with up to 8K resolution are available. However, there are two restrictions for Apple users in this matter. First, Anker lists the M1 Macs as incompatible. This is because they support a maximum of one external monitor (the Mac mini supports two). Thus, at least one should be controlled with this dock. If you have an Intel Mac, you can use both HDMI ports, but they display the same picture – Apple refuses to support the underlying technology. However, it can still be quite handy for some purposes.

Besides the graphics outputs, you also get SD card, audio out and in, Gigabit networking, four USB-A ports, and an additional USB-C port that only allows charging. The port that leads to the Mac outputs a maximum of 90 watts of power. So the dock offers plenty of ports for users who want to connect more than one or two devices to their Mac.
