Mikrotik introduces the CSS610-8G-2S+IN, a switch that should only cost around $100. In Germany, it is currently a bit more expensive, but with currently around 120 Euros, it is still cheap for the offered performance.
The device provides two 10 Gbit/s SFP+ ports and an additional eight Gigabit ports. Furthermore, it supports passive PoE, so it can simply be supplied with power via network cable instead of the power supply. The consumption is at least five watts and should increase to a maximum of eleven watts.
As usual, MikroTik’s switch operating system SwOS is on board. MAC filters, VLANs, broadcast stream control, mirror traffic etc. can be configured there. For the price, this is a very mature switch that can also be used for simple tasks in the company.
