With the hAP ac3 MikroTik has launched a new good average WLAN router, which should be sufficient for many people.
The device is the big brother of the ac2 and it lacks the LTE capability of the ac3 LTE. The device comes with five gigabit ports, two external antennas for ac WLAN, 256 MB RAM and 128 Flash. In addition there are lifetime updates of RouterOS – so you are always up to date.
Yes, there is no WLAN 6, but that might not be the deciding factor for many people. More important is an absolutely stable operation of the device and lifetime updates. We are currently testing the ac2 and it is proving to be absolutely sufficient for everyday use. The ac3 with external antennas for better WLAN coverage should be even better. The MikroTik is a set-it-and-forget-it product so to speak that should simply do its job quietly and silently in the background – and at the same time brings powerful functions with it, should the need arise.
