Everyone driving an old Porsche now has the official possibility to equip his old car with CarPlay.
Under the name Porsche Classic Communication Management (PCCM) Porsche offers a 1-DIN or 2-DIN slot solution for classic vehicles. The devices are compatible with the first 911s from the 60s up to the 993 series, which was the last with air-cooled engine.
If you have a Porsche model from the 90s, you could purchase Porsche Communication Management ex works. This is of course no longer up to date today. For these vehicles, Porsche now offers the PCCM Plus. In principle, all existing Porsche models in the field of entertainment/connectivity can thus be brought up to the state of the art.
The devices not only upgrade CarPlay, but also DAB+ for digital radio reception and Bluetooth. So if you love the old mechanics of your classic Porsche, but also do like modern electronics, you can now combine both. The prices of the devices are just under 1400 Euro and 1500 Euro.
