For those who tweet a lot at night or simply like dark modes, the Twitter app now has a small adjustment.
The Twitter app has been supporting the dark mode for quite some time, which has a dark grey background. This is still available, but is now one of two dark options. This old variant is now called “dim”, the new “lights out” and this leads to a black background – so it gets even darker. For dark environments just the right thing.
In addition, a practical usability feature was added: during the day the bright mode can be used and at night the desired display mode without having to switch manually. If you set the switch at “Automatic dark mode” the app switches automatically between the two views based on your time zone. Tip: the new options are not yet available in your app, just quit the app and open it again.
