Synology has updated the operating system of its NAS systems to 6.2.2. In addition to some security improvements, there are also a few new features.
Here you can read all the details and also use the manual download if you don’t want to wait so long until your Synology itself pulls the update.
DSM 6.2.2 now supports 14 TB IronWolf and IronWolf Pro hard drives from Seagate. This extends the choice of hard drives for professional drives a bit. Furthermore the cooperation with Google Services was introduced: they can now be linked via LDAP. Very useful for security: free Let’s Encrypt certificates can now be included when using Synology DDNS. All other changes can be found under the link above.
