You have updated to iOS 12 and are looking for the advertised shortcuts? Nothing easier than that.
Apple has created a new possibility in iOS 12 to create “If this, then that” actions, called shortcuts. These only work on iOS 12, but the function is not supplied by default, but must be installed later.
As with any other app, this can be done via the App Store. Just search for “Shortcuts” and install the corresponding app. You can then create your own processes on iOS 12 or try out the ones supplied by Apple and learn a little about them. The topic is quite extensive, but this is usually a sign that you can find exactly what you need. Have fun trying it out!
