If you work a lot on your computer and have problems with the mouse, you should look for an ergonomic one. Logitech’s new MX Vertical is such a device.
Ergonomic mice use a simple trick: they allow the input device to be operated with the hand in a vertical position, just like you do a handshake. This reduces stress on shoulder and wrist and any pain disappears. This may be individually different, but it is true and has already been observed in our circle of friends.
Logitech now introduces an ergonomic mouse that finally looks stylish (subjective opinion). Usually the input devices just look practical, this one also comes with some style. The technically part of the product was also thought through: there are three possibilities to connect the mouse to the computer: By cable, for all those who don’t want to charge a mouse (even via USB-C cable, thanks to Logitech!), by Unify radio receiver, which can also connect to other Logitech devices and, interesting for us Mac users, also via Bluetooth. It is therefore not necessary to connect an extra USB dongle on a Mac with integrated Bluetooth module.
macOS 10.3.6 (i.e. the current version of our favourite operating system) is mandatory, older versions are excluded. Logitech indicates the radio range at 10 m, so it should be suitable for presentations in larger rooms. The company does not specify the battery life, but hopefully it should be in the range of a few weeks.
