After ChatGPT is considered one of the most influential inventions of the current time and many already work with it on a daily basis, Google now follows suit and puts its own artificial intelligence online: Google Bard.
As of now, the service can be tried out at bard.google.com – but only in the US and UK. The service is gradually being rolled out in other countries. It remains to be seen how well the service will fare against ChatGPT, Google internally has probably had big discussions regarding a release at this point in time. However, ChatGPT’s intelligence is also found in many programs and plugins via APIs, so Google probably could not wait any longer.
The name Bard comes from William Shakespeare, who is also known as “Bard of Avon”. ChatGPT is a bit more technical: it simply uses the abbreviation of Generative Pre-trained Transformer.
