The chargers from Anker are of very high quality and have therefore already approached Apple’s models in terms of price. However, Anker models are always one step ahead of Apple when it comes to size.
And that is also the case with the new models, which are based on Gan technology: they are significantly more compact. The 140 watt version is about 40% more compact than Apple’s 140 watt power supply.
If you only like to travel light and really want to optimize everything (leaving out everything that is possible is always the motto), the 140 watt model is certainly worth considering. However, you can also save on power if you don’t always put the MacBook under maximum power and also get by with a 65 watt charger. This has even more advantages: it offers one USB-A and two USB-C ports – so you save even more individual power supplies and weight.
