The company eero, which belongs to Amazon, introduces two new models of the excellent mesh WLAN system: the Pro 6E series and the 6+ line.
The eero Pro 6E models feature the latest WLAN according to the 6E standard, i.e. they operate on the 6 GHz frequency. Apple devices can’t do this at the time being, but there’s nothing wrong with planning something for the future. In addition, the Pro 6E models offer three wireless modules, just like the well-known Pro devices.
The 6+ series, on the other hand, only comes with two radio units, just like the well-known eero 6 devices. The Plus model should now be able to handle up to one gigabit throughput, which is ideal for fast fiber connections. The normal 6 model manages approximately up to 500 Mbit/s.
The eero mesh system is one of the better, if not the most pleasant in everyday use. It works stably, is easy to set up via app, and gets regular updates. It is a very good choice for a private household that needs to cover large areas.
