Microsoft presents Windows 11

Windows 11

Windows 11 is the name of Microsoft’s latest operating system.

Microsoft has introduced a new one: Windows 11 comes with more modern graphics and is supposed to be less distracting while working.

The most noticeable thing for Apple users is the new Start menu, which is now placed in the center. It now looks much more contemporary. Microsoft has also added a new function called “Snap”. With “Snap layouts” and “Snap groups”, you can now automatically place windows on the screen to create order and at the same time use the available space sensibly.

Interestingly, it will be possible to run Android apps on Windows in the future. Similar to Apple allowing iOS on macOS (which of course only refers to its own ecosystem), Microsoft offers the option to run mobile apps on Windows.

Another thing that should not be missing is the further expanded connection to the cloud, especially in the area of teams. However, this integration also has an advantage: Windows 11 now also suggests files that you opened on an iOS device shortly before.

It is interesting to see how operating systems converge in certain aspects and yet remain different. We are curious to see how Microsoft’s Windows 11 performs in practice and what advantages it has over macOS.
