YouTube app on Apple TV 3 to be discontinued

YouTube is pulling back from the Apple TV 3 but still allows the use of AirPlay.

Starting in March, the native YouTube app for the third-generation Apple TV will be discontinued. The device, which has an A5 chip and was sold until 2015, still runs flawlessly for many. Google, however, is now pulling out with the YouTube app.

The first users are now getting hints about this fact. At the same time, it is emphasized that AirPlay will continue to work. Thus, at least the remote control of the older device should still be given.
