Sony TVs of 2018 and 2019 get AirPlay 2 update

Some Sony TV models from 2018 and 2019 can be updated with a software now to offer AirPlay 2 and HomeKit compatibility.

Supported series include:

• XBR Z9F
• XBR A9F
• XBR Z9G
• XBR A9G
• XBR X950G
• XBR X850G

Now you have the possibility to use these models like an Apple TV and to access Apple TV+ or to send your content from your iPhone to them. It is unclear whether Sony will also provide support for older TVs, but this is doubtful.
